Adufe’s cudgel

Love bonds break like bones
Comminuted into everything
From distraught to death
From distrust to debt

The core is exposed
The core is desiccated
The core is lost
The core is trust

Cheating is a cudgel, not a mistake
Adufe cheated, Adufe smashed
A cudgel into us
How could she show remorse?

A true ‘sorry’ they say might be magic
But malunions complicate ALL broken unions
Only the prominence lies in the degree

Cheating is a cudgel, not a mistake
Adufe broke my bones
