INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY: CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Two days ago, on March the 8th, we celebrated International Women’s Day, with the theme #BeBoldForChange. The world is peopled by women and men alike, but for so long has appeared to be a male world, a male-dominated world. Being female, therefore, appears equal, more or less, to being the Other, on the fringe, on the back seat. Or does it? ‘When you look at femininity, what do you see? Power or pain? Is femininity strictly female? Is it ‘nature’ or ‘nurture’ or both? What do you see when you look at the concept ‘Woman’? What kind of change do you imagine we should be bold about? ‘We welcome submissions that expertly examine this theme of femininity through poetry, fiction, non-fiction, visual art, and photography. All prospective contributors have until 21st April, 2017, to submit their work for consideration.
