Praxis Magazine Online is pleased to announce its partnership with the Lagos Book and Art festival – LABAF. The festival is set to hold from Monday, the 4th of November to Sunday, the 10th of November, 2019.
Praxis magazine will have two events amongst the opening events at LABAF, in line with the festivals’ theme, EMERGE: Breaking into the New.
Praxis Hangout will hold first, on Monday, the 4th of November, 2019 from 2pm- 5pm, at the Kongis’ Harvest Arts Gallery. This time, the hangout will revolve around the theme, Indigenous languages and Translations. Panellist will include Prof. Ismail Bala, the Managing Editor of Praxis Magazines’ Hausa platform, gatanan gatanan ku, Maryam Aliko, Prof. Ibrahim Malumfashi, a professor of Hausa Literature, and Richard Ali of Parresia. It will be anchored by Praxis founder and publisher, Tee Jay Dan.
The second event will be a Writers-Readers Convention and will hold from 7pm to 10pm, on Monday, the 4th of November, 2019, at the Food Court. The session will involve interactions between writers and readers and will include performances. Guests will include the Yoruba folklorist and actor, Jimi Solanke, Lillian Ezeugwu, Omoregie Osakpolor, and others. The evening session will be anchored by Zainab Sanni.
