CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS for Around This Fire 3: Responses to Poetry for the Mildly Insane
We recently published Edwin Madu’s first chapbook, Poetry for the Mildly Insane, and are now opening submissions effectively immediately for response poems to be considered for our next response chapbook, Around This Fire 3. If you contributed to Around This Fire I: Responses to Ikemefuna or Around This Fire 2: Responses to Burnt Men, we would be delighted to welcome you back and see what Edwin Madu’s poetry has inspired in you. And if you have not yet participated in the Around This Fire series, we strongly encourage you to read The Ikemefuna Tributaries, Epistle I and Burnt Men, and then the two response chapbooks so you can see what we’re doing with this project before you submit.
ALL ATF3 SUBMISSIONS MUST FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES: be in the body of an email addressed to halima@praxismagonline.com, and MUST have “ATF3 Submission” in the subject line of the email. In the email, please include your bio statement and up to two response poems, and each poem should include a line beneath the title to show which poem(s) in Edwin Madu’s chapbook inspired it. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered for inclusion. Submissions close on October 7, 2016, so start writing!
