CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS for Around This Fire 4:
Responses to Things I Was Told Not to Think About

We recently published Mary McCarthy’s digital chapbook, Things I Was Told Not to Think About, and are now opening submissions effective immediately for response poems to be considered for our next response chapbook, Around This Fire 4. If you contributed to, we would be delighted to welcome you back and see what Mary McCarthy’s poetry has inspired in you. And if you have not yet participated in the Around This Fire series, we strongly encourage you to read first three poetry chapbooks (The Ikemefuna Tributaries, Epistle I / Burnt Men / Edwin Madu’s Poetry for the Mildly Insane) and then the Around This Fire: Response chapbooks ( Around This Fire I: Responses to Ikemefuna / Around This Fire 2: Responses to Burnt Men / Around This Fire 3: Responses to Poetry for the Mildly Insane ) so you can see what we are doing with this series.

ALL ATF4 SUBMISSIONS MUST FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES: be in the body of an email addressed to halima@praxismagonline.com, and MUST have “ATF4 Submission” in the subject line of the email. In the email, please include your bio statement and up to two response poems, and each poem should include a line beneath the title to show which poem(s) in Mary McCarthy’s chapbook inspired it. Submissions that do not follow the guidelines will not be considered for inclusion. Submissions close on December 15, 2016 — we look forward to reading your responses!
