Thank your stars

Honourable sowers of mischief,
Esteemed planters of chaos,
Respected malevolent elders,
I salute you from where I stand.

Pains cry to me from afar,
Agony of kinsfolk ignored,
Sorrow of peers defenestrated
From inherited age-old lands.

I’d cry but it would be needless.
I’d fight but it would be wasted.
I’d speak but my voice will be
Unheard, as good as dumb.

The perspiration of a honest man,
The aspirations of the ambitious,
The inspiration of the creative,
Bows for the rot that consumes all.

We both know you love us
The Amiable and the agreeable.
Our lives matter to you,
But yours matter more than most.

God sees but is patient,
God hears but is silent,
I’ll wipe you off the earth’s visage
As a recompense for your works.

I’ve been patient for long,
I’ve been silent enough,
But the Almighty I am not,
Thanks to your lucky stars.
