Memories
If memories were fabrics:
Shot silk materials —
I will sew pajamas,
To wear on my heart.
If memories were caps:
Tam, fez, kepi or beret —
I will wear them on my visage,
To shield my wild mood.
If memories were shoes:
Boot, cleat, pump, or spike —
I will tuck my psyche in them,
When moving on the road of life.
If memories were glasses:
Shades or specs —
I will wear it on the eyes of my soul
To check for hills ahead.

If memories were hats I would wear them like Papa’s black Ben Hogan’s hat while I sit at sun set
